The Dragonfly

A classic Orchestra Model, steel string guitar with a master-grade, bear clawed, Austrian spruce soundboard on an East Indian Rosewood body.  The carefully voiced soundboard features a forward shifted X-brace made of Adirondack spruce.  The bindings are Bloodwood and the top and peghead have mother-of-pearl zipflex purflings.  The sound hole rosette is a custom made mother-of-pearl ring inset into a Bloodwood background. The Ryan profiled, Honduran Mahogany neck has a double action truss rod, 44mm width at the nut and 2-3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Ebony fretboard with Evo gold frets. 25.4" scale length, 14 frets to the body, Gotoh 510 gold tuners, Ebony bridge and Tintul bridge pins, clear pickguard, bleached bone saddle and nut. Parabolic Tension strings, light gauge, from Santa Cruz.

An abalone Dragonfly is inlayed at the 12th fret - a special request of the owner.  This guitar was a joy to build for a special person indeed!
